This is a replica of a Stuart Crystal pendant. They are extremely rare and cost thousands of dollars. I have always loved them but have been unable to afford them so I decided to make my own version. I used faceted quartz and professional prints that are sealed from water and will last for many years. I prefer the love tokens that were given after the tribute to King Charles in 1649. They became something exchanged in relationships or given to a girl you fancied. If you were in love or infatuated you would give a gift token such as the one here I’ve created. Many years later they would morph into sterling silver hearts that had initials on them if you were going to war you would give these to your sweetheart as a reminder that she was your girl and to remember your love.

According to Lang Antiques-Stuart crystals were flat-topped carved rock crystal quartz capping a gold wire cipher and/or crown on a hairwork background. These were mounted as rings, cuff links, pendants, earrings, and slides. Usually mounted in gold, some have black or white tracery enamel. These rings were produced in support of the monarchy after the execution of King Charles I in 1649 and are a precursor of the memorial or mourning ring.

🌟Maintenance suggestion: All metal has a museum wax coating of Renassaince Wax to preserve the shine or the patina. I recommend wearing Silver in the shower since is will polish it up every time you dry off with a towel. I sleep in silver too without any trouble but if you have a reaction with silver against your skin please refrain from wearing it longer than a few hours at a time.
Sterling Silver is known as an hypoallergenic material, which also make it soft and easy to be bent. Usually you can fix it by yourself. Please contact us if it’s a unfixable problem.
