For your consideration is a rare vintage large sterling silver MALTESE CROSS BETHLEHEM Crusader & faceted purple sapphire stone pendant, 40 grams. The bold, heavy and striking pendant features a beveled round faceted pink sapphire in the center. It is beautifully decorated with ornate dots, florets and a raised relief design. It measures approx. 2.5″ length including the bail and 2″ width. The bail measures approx.05”. The sapphire measures 13 mm. The weight is 40 grams. On the back it is marked Bethlehem Sterling Silver. This item has been professionally acid tested, as being sterling silver. The condition of this item is very good, having wear consistent with age. It has aged patina. The necklace chain is included, and is a heavy rolo solid sterling silver chain 18 inches long. This is a spectacular vintage Maltese Cross Bethlehem Crusader pendant. This would be a great addition to any Maltese Cross jewelry collection. It is a vintage piece and pretty unique. I absolutely fell in love with it years ago but need to sell some of my collection.
